The Seventh Light: The Trials of Molvep

Lyuntaaz

On the ninth evening of Lyuntaaz, we link tarru around the sacred cohage, offering our heartfelt prayers to Ponai, as our ancestors did in the savage wilderness of Molvep. It is on this night that we wear ceremonial nabwib like the ancient Quaceb made during exile, and pray the Wacosh.

Before the linking of tails, one eye is lit, and the following prayer is said:

Ponai, zavalu hrua kaleduqe kai riko con gik, kai con mez kaleduqe nuxik, shnarf con bea nux de hrua sapebmi jub ruhd xaimaupaga nemamkals guki zea fu'pxea bea briyamwap de zadyac gagfad ulbtal gik de rua kimeruce. Andere.

O Ponai, stir up thy power and be with us, and with great might help us, that with the help of thy sapebmi, thy merciful forgiveness, may tear down the barriers of zadyac that bar us from your presence. Andere.

This is a night of fasting and prayer, as our ancestors wandered the Pilcoru for days without food in search of Muxmoclov, the land of abundance. On this night we confess our zadyac before Ponai, and repent in preparation of Veaxy sacrifice.
